Beginning in 2010 OSHA has focused more on residential and light commercial construction. You may have heard some of the stories and or rumors relating to these OSHA visits and subsequent citations being issued to the subcontractors as well as the prime contractors. Century Communities has made the decision to work toward being OSHA compliant and has installed a written comprehensive OSHA compliant safety program.
All personnel working on the jobsite are required by the Code of Federal Regulation, 1926 for the Construction industry, to have completed a formal safety training program. Attendance to this class will satisfy the requirements for your Initial Formal Safety Training. 29 CFR 1926 regulations will be covered including but not limited to:
- Fall Protection
- Ladder Safety
- Scaffold Regulations
- Crystalline Silica Exposure
- Person Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Full Q&A session to any OSHA or safety questions you may have.

The training portion of the class will last 5 hours, Trade Partners and their respective Crew Leaders attendance is mandatory.
- Attendance to formal safety training is required by federal law and part of Veritas Homes Health and Safety Compliance System.
- Please allow for company leadership and/or your company’s designated health and safety program administrator* present for the entirety of the training.
*Designated Safety Program Administrator - an individual who will be managing your company’s health and safety program. This individual will be required to conduct periodic and frequent job site, worker, and material evaluations and hold safety meetings(toolbox talks) with workers on site.
