SAFETY INSPECTIONS

"You can only expect what you inspect."
Mitchell Smith - President
One of the most frequently cited violations for general contractors is failure to conduct frequent and regular inspections of job sites, materials, and equipment made by competent persons designated by the employers. OSHA 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2)

Our safety inspection system mimics how OSHA conducts a job site inspection. A trained safety professional will assess all hazards and violations facing the crew and take appropriate action to correct the issues.

Crew members on site will be told about the issues and advised on techniques to properly abate the hazards. Management are involved immediately if serious violations are observed or workers do not have the required equipment to continue work.

Detailed reports are generated and sent to designated personnel for each inspection. Pike Consulting Group's comprehensive reports include:

  • Job Site Details
  • Personnel on site
  • Scope of work
  • Detailed photos of hazards, violations, and abatement
  • Synopsis of work observed and corrective actions taken
  • Recommendations for rewards or reprimands as appropriate

It's a Fact

OSHA COMPLIANCE & REPRESENTATION

"We help OSHA see the 'human side' of the employer."

Mitchell Smith - President

Many times employers feel that OSHA assumes they do not care about the wellbeing of their employees. It has been our experience that this is not the case. Many employers do care about the safety of their workers – but do not understand what is required to maintain OSHA compliance.

When accidents happen, the first question OSHA often has for the employer is “what have you done to ensure the health and safety of your employees?” The answers you give will shape what OSHA presumes about your commitment to safety.

Our system and representation is designed to show OSHA the commitment you have for your employees. We not only explain your commitment, but back that up with documentation that proves you are doing what is necessary. OSHA consistently deals with large corporations and teams of lawyers who rarely present the company as an organization that truly cares about their workers more than the bottom line.

Our approach is different. We work with our clients and OSHA to foster a cooperative relationship to keep employees safe and the company within compliance.

It's a Fact

Employees with OSHA Authorized Safety Training are less likely to put themselves in dangerous situations and less prone to litigate should an accident or injury occur.
